Data Manager
Data Managers configure and publish the authoritative agency datasets and screening logic that power every project evaluation. What they build determines what the platform surfaces at intake — for every project, across every review.
The foundation every project review depends on.
The Data Manager role is not about individual project review. It is about building and maintaining the layer of authoritative knowledge that makes accurate, consistent screening possible across all projects.
Import and configure datasets
Bring in authoritative geospatial layers — land status, existing rights, resource zones, special designations — from agency sources and validate them for operational use.
Attach metadata and policy context
Add source information, management direction references, and policy citations so that every screening finding is traceable back to its authoritative basis.
Define screening logic
Configure how datasets are applied during automated spatial screening — which layers trigger findings, how intersections are categorized, and what thresholds govern results.
Publish and version datasets
Approve configured datasets for operational use and manage updates as agency data evolves, ensuring the screening engine always reflects the current authoritative picture.
Support data quality and accuracy
Review screening outputs against known project types to validate that datasets and logic are producing accurate, defensible results before and after updates.
